“Habemus papam!”

The controversial but brilliant Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger(thanks to him, I finally understand the Holy Spirit) is the new Holy Father of the Catholic Church.
I am hoping he doesn’t reduce the role of women in the church. But I respect him and I know the Holy Spirit will guide him in his new role. I also find it interesting that he is devoted to the Benedictine order, which I consider my spiritual guide as well.
I am moved to tears by the ceremony and by my mother and co-workers crying. The bells in St. Peter’s are ringing as the thousands lucky enough to be there celebrate.
