Psychoanalysis goes psycho: Book Review

The Interpretation of Murder by Jed Rubenfeld

“Love is a crisis of the soul.”
“All family life is organized around the most damaged person in it.”

Ivy League law professor Rubenfeld keeps you turning pages with his period piece murder mystery. The 300+ page book is a fictionalized thriller featuring the papa of talk therapy, Dr. Sigmund Freud, his mentee Carl Jung as well as fictional characters rookie cop Littlemore and aspiring psychoanalyst Dr. Stratham Younger. A serial killer is engaging in bondage games with high society girls and time is ticking for the next victim. The book is both exciting but cerebral.
