It must hurt a little to hit the water. Gravity. The impact.
But how exhilirating, being pulled deeper within the stillness of the water, where beneath the surface, all is calm and clear.
So I take my camera to the edge of the Bay, snap pictures of my birthplace, stare up into the blue sky that is always a constant friend.
As I have for months, maybe even years or my entire life, I wait.
“The night is coming and the starling flew for days
I’d stay home at night all the time
I’d go anywhere, anywhere
Ask me and I’m there because I care.”
